Fashion Style File: Food Prints!?

Ola!

Prints have been everywhere lately, and I have seen a lot of food prints. Usually the food prints are related to fruit, since fruit is pretty. However, I found some items that are quite different than usual and quite hard to style. I used a website called Polyvore. It is a website where you can create your own outfits and share these with other fashionistas. Below are four examples, all with one main food printed piece.

French Fries Bustier

Sushi Bag

Crazy Donut Pants

Hamburger Tee

Personally my favorite out of the four is the last one, I absolutely love it! These examples are the ways that I would most likely style the pieces. You guys should check out the website to see how you can style it differently. Maybe you can even start making your own sets.

Enjoy!

My favorite model: Frida Gustavsson

Hello!

I have been getting more interested in fashion and if you have seen fashion on tumblr, you know that there are many beautiful models that are wearing the clothes. These past few months there has been a huge hype on model, Cara Delevingne, however personally I have a girl crush on Frida Gustavsson. Don't get me wrong, I think Cara D. is gorgeous and so is every single person on this planet, however I just really love Frida.

Frida Gustavsson is currently of 20 years of age and she is Swedish. She is a famous supermodel and is most commonly known for her scandinavian look and her super long legs. She has walked for fashion houses like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Celine etc.

I feel like she is very down to earth, natural, shy and sweet. Hope to see her one day!

Enjoy!

Craving Avocados!

Bonjour!

It's the beginning of July so it's almost my birthday, it's the start of the summer holidays and it's kind of warm! So, what I have been craving these past few summer(ish) months are avocados. Everywhere I go, I want avocados. My mom makes a salad. I instantly ask 'Are there avocados in there!? They better be in there!?'. Luckily my mom usually has them in there since she also likes avocados, luckily. Also, every time I go to the supermarket I must stock up on avocados, even if I have like 5 at home already.

I wanted to let you guys know about my craving for avocado because they are so good! Okay, I understand that eating too many is not very healthy, but for the summer months I go a little crazy. I think if you eat half an avocado a day is still healthy. Avocado contains 'good' fats and proteins and so that is why it is considered healthy, up to a certain amount of course.

Avocado anything, basically

I hope you guys try avocados out! It will not disappoint  Even if it has before, why not try it again and use one of the examples above. Also avocados are mostly great eaten with fish but good with anything else.

Enjoy!

Interior Style File: Leaning Art

Aloha!

This is my first 'Interior Style File' This is where I will be talking about favorite trends/styles of mine. This one will be related to Interior Design. The trend that I have seen a lot lately and have been absolutely loving is Leaning Art. This is where pieces of art are leaning against a wall. It is a simple and  clean way of displaying your art. Below are some examples and you can see that this trend is mostly seen in Scandinavian interiors.
A prime example of leaning art using thin shelves
Scandinavian bedroom with thin shelves for art
Art can even be sitting on the floor!
Simple and beautiful
Arranging all your art together, in one place
This unbelievable frame with polaroids leant against a wall! (Great DIY)
Leaning mirrors are also possible!
Keeping it simple
As you can see, leaning art is a great way to spice up your room. You can always easily add or change art pieces and then it will become a whole different room. In my own bedroom I only have leaning art since I am not fond of making holes in the walls. I love how I can always change the arrangement to suite the season, it's very versatile!

Try it out. Hop on the trend. Get some of your favorite art pieces together and mix and match and then you are bound to make something beautiful!

Enjoy!

Hello and Welcome!

Aloha there!

This is my first blog post... of course. This is where I wanted to introduce myself a little. Hi, i'm Sophie, 16 (almost 17). I am currently doing the IB and am finishing off my first painful year. Next year I will be a senior, it will be my last year at high school. Can't wait! This blog is mainly going to be a summer thing since I have no large plans except for school work, and I will need to have a little escape of my own so therefore this blog.

More about myself is written in the 'about me' page seen above. Please check it out!

My blog is here to share a bit about my life and to share my interests. So most likely you will get to see a lot of posts about: style, fashion, design, architecture, art, photography, film, travelling and sports.

As for the blog name, it kind of comes back to the fact that I think everybody is beautiful and unique and au naturel is the way to go!

Enjoy!
